Concerned at the dark and decaying realm created by the great god Wu Gong who is still in deep slumber, Heaven decided to allow humankind to restore their world and granted them the powers of the elements. The realm was infused with new life and special individuals were selected from birth and were granted the powers and talents to control and manipulate the elements of the world. With this new found power, humanity rose from the abyss and civilization returned and improved. With the elements human found new sources of great natural energy and from then tools were created to promote a higher standard of living. The rediscovery of high tech relics from a long lost civilization promoted development and advancement in science. Elemental generators and amplifiers are created to boost energy and production, while alchemy benefited warfare when gunpowder was materialized leading to moderate production of firearms like the pistols and muskets to big and heavy artilleries and explosives. Engines like steam engines were reintroduced to increase mechanical work as well. It was a period of renaissance.

Years passed and new powers and new forms of authority began to manifest. The rise of classical civilization and learning prompted philosophical advancement which eventually led to enlightenment and new reformations. Influence and power of clans rose distinctively and the time of social upheaval, political intrigue, and nearly constant military conflict engulfs the realm. The elements are concentrated and prioritized in warfare as the struggle became worse and chosen ones would once again wield their powers for war. It is now a period known as the Evolutionary Period and war has begun.


And yay, RoWG: VI has started! This game is now focusing on clan wars, and ruler sign ups are available as of now. Before, the game focused on the seven deities which granted special powers to each Chosen. This game is now focusing on special powers called elements. There are 7 different element powers; Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Earth, and Dark. Each element will help you form your stragedies needed to win your battles as an individual, or in clan wars.

The Amber Experience;

Ultimately, Amber focuses on a dysfunctional family that is somehow at the center of a cosmic war between many powers. You play as one of the many princes and princesses of Amber, or a member of the Court of Chaos, No-one trusts anyone, everyone appears to be ready to backstab anyone else (often literally), and everyone seems genuinely interested in only one thing: himself or herself.

In this respect, the Amber universe could perhaps be best described as a philosophical, metaphysical, magical, mystical, fantasy soap opera. It has all those things, all wrapped around a cast of characters who are conniving, paranoid, dysfunctional, and often heartless.

All of the princes and princesses of Amber have super-human strength and regenerative capabilities. For example, two of them were able to pick up a car that had gone into a ditch and place it back on the road, and one was able to regenerate his eyes after they had been burned out.

The Pattern and the Logrus

At the two poles of existence are the symbols of Order and Chaos—The Pattern and The Logrus. Each takes the form of a maze or labyrinth which, when negotiated, gives a person the ability to walk in shadow—across the different possible universes. Whereas the Pattern is a static, two-dimensional maze, the Logrus can be described as a shifting, three-dimensional obstacle course.

The Trumps

Nearly all of Corwin's relatives carry a deck of Tarot cards, with a key alteration: each family member is on one of the Trumps. Each Trump, when concentrated upon by another family member, allows instant communication across the dimensions, and if both parties are willing, instant travel. Traveling in this way requires trust—placing oneself temporarily at the mercy of the non-traveling host.

Order vs. Chaos

In the Merlin cycle, strife continues in Amber and the Courts of Chaos, but the focus seems to be on a timeless battle between the superpowers of Order and Chaos, the Unicorn and the Serpent. All the while, the implication seems to be that there is really little difference between Order and Chaos; both are ways we describe such things. Of further significance is that both Oberon and Dworkin came from the Courts of Chaos, then created the Pattern. Therefore, the foundations of archetypal order (the Pattern) were born of archetypal chaos (the Logrus).

I am currently in need of a few GM's who, after learning the very easy system and background, can assist me in running the site. I am currently allowing people to view what I have thus far. I have many NPC's to post, in addition to alot of other info, however, with a little help, could get going within a month or two.

I know some of you out there were apart of my old sim, War for Justice...well this is basically my remake comeback. Don't worry it's not a threekingdoms sim. There's enough of those. :wink:

I'd encourage all those who were apart of my old sim to come back. We're...I mean...I'm still working on the rules. And we're...I'm hiring admins, I'll basically take anyone at the point cause I've basically done all the work myself. Sign up in the OOC if you want an admin position. :wink:

How are people supposed to want to be admins without seeing what the rules look like?

They're hidden ;) You can see them when you're an admin. And if you don't want to be an admin after looking after the rules, I'd have no problem with it.
