Leaning into his counter, Yue Guang was flipping through a few pages of a book when he heard the door open. Looking up, a familiar figure appeared. "Oh, you. Yes, yes. Where is it..." He opened and closed a series of drawers rapidly, searching for the textbook. "Ah ha. There we are." He plopped down a book, with a cover of finished wood bound by a spine of leather. "A bit of a boring read, if you ask me." He pushed the book towards her.

Possibly devastated at being called old, the young doctor took a few moments before answering back. "Wardrobes? I got nothing." Didn't people read the bright red words on the shop sign? "Unless by wardrobe, you mean books and maps, in which case I got some stuff. I can put gold and jade on that stuff." He shrugged his shoulders lightly. What could he do? Liao Fu seemed to be in pretty poor health so the shop was out on it's outfitter. And all he himself could do was write books and help get a horse. Maybe this fellow would be interested in gold plated horseshoes.

"Hmph!" replied the eunuch in a huff, put out by the man's reply, "What about your thoroughbred horses? The Emperor's chariot requires exceptionally fine specimens, as I'm sure you know. We require our steeds to be of exacting quality, and will, of course, pay handsomely for results. What caliber of horse could be acquired here for 3,000 ounces of gold?"

Taking a slow inhale, Yue Guang cleared his throat to prevent his next words from being high-pitched. "A-ahem. At that sum, they would be quite well bred. Should you decide to place that sum amount, you would be looking at three fine horses. Of course, I can also divide the sum further to procure four slightly lesser horses. Though, three is certainly luckier than four. An auspicious Emperor should receive gifts in an auspicious amount, right?" At this point, it seemed his mouth wasn't quite connected to his brain as he was simply sputtering out phrases.

The eunuch looked at him with a funny expression before shrugging off the man's sputtered babble. "Listen, you take this," he motioned for a member of his retinue to hand over a bulging sack with the character "漢" ("Han") stamped on it prominently. It was considerably heavy, filled as it was with 187.5 pounds of gold. "Now, you take this money and go inseminate some mares or something," the eunuch continued, "and we will expect three of the finest horses ever bred sooner or later. Time isn't so much an issue, as is quality. If there's anything left over and you can make us other stuff, like nice armor or a fan or something, that would be okay too. Oh, and remember to keep some for yourself. Isn't government work beautiful?"

Consciously keeping his eyes from popping off his face, Yue Guang did his best to put on his business face. "Uh, y-yes. The Han are certainly...b-beautiful." He was quite distracted by the hefty sacks in front of him. "I will uh, endeavor to uh, have the horses prepared come the new year."

"Man...breeding these horses is stupid. Plus, they smell like crap." Tending to a horse in the recently renovated stables at the Emporium, Yue Guang could only continue to complain as he worked on the Han horses. One of the other tenders piped in a few words. "Maybe you should ask for help from that other guy...Pan...something something." Leaning his body backwards to see around the wall separating himself and the worker, Yue Guang seemed confused. "Wait, what? There's another breeder? Well, damn. I just wasted time studying this stuff then." Throwing the brush up in the air in annoyance, he made his way to the accounting room of the shop.

After a few minutes, he emerged once more with a letter in hand and a bag in the other.
"Where are those couriers?" It seemed he had a few items to send to Pan Shaozu. "Jeez, I even gave that guy medicine once. He didn't even mention he was one of the workers here."

Shaozu had just started working on a Horse for Pang Kai when the courier showed up with the letter and bag of gold...

"A Showhorse for the Han?" He said with a slight chuckle as he read the letter. "Go figure. Of course they are more worried about how extravagant the horse will look rather than it's usefulness in battle." He shook his head and turned to the courier. "Please inform Master Guang that I will have this ready next month." He shook the bag listening to the gold jingle inside. A smile crept upon his face...

Gan Rin and Bao entered the building, the young officer sighing as he removed his helmet from a sweat drenched head. "Another hot day my friend and yet I'm more exhausted riding on my horse than you are running the entire way. I don't get you!" His green eyes stared widely at his tall exotic friend. Bao chuckled deeply, flashing a warm smile to the smaller male. "Perhaps you should stop riding and run with the horse and myself from now on." Rin frowned at his ebony skinned companion. "...I'll pass on that..." He replied with a hearty laugh, proceeding further into the shop...taking his time to look around at what there was to offer with Bao at his side. The slave blinked, noticing a small shelf that seemed to have small sample bottles with fluids in them. Squinting his dark brown eyes, he managed to read that they were poison's and antidotes. "What do we have here?" Gan asked, standing on his toes to peek over Bao's shoulders. "...this could help our Lord you know. With the worry of someone going after his life..." Bao pointed out to one of the antidotes. "That...actually isn't a bad idea..." Gan replied thoughtfully, the two of them now bent over the display while waiting for the shop keeper.

In the midst of transitioning from the accounting room to the storage room, Yue Guang was eventually forced to see that there were a few potential customers in his store. With a small exhale of effort, he put down the box in his hands as he stepped up to one of the counters. "I'd suggest you be careful with that one. I made it almost a year ago with the intention of it being a light irritant. God knows what aging for an entire year would do to the ingredients in there."

The two quickly straightened up, turning to see Yue Guang at the counter. "Are you saying it could burn off my hand or explode?" Rin asked while laughing, Bao glanced over at his master with a slight frown on his lips. "Master Gan, it might be wise to listen to his warning. He DOES know more about this than you..." Gan Rin froze, slowly pushing away from the possibly dangerous item. Clearing his throat, the soldier made his way over towards the counter to speak with this stranger. "My name is Gan Rin, we have been in search for a place that could provide us with a wide selection of poison's and antidotes." He started off, glancing back at Bao who stood patiently away from the two...not wishing to butt into the conversation.
